Certification Arrangements:There are 4 certificates:

  1. A certificate is for frozen pig meat  & frozen pig meat food products
  2. A certificate for frozen poultrymeat/ frozen processed poultry meat
  3. A certificate for chilled/frozen sheepmeat, chilled/frozen sheepmeat products
  4. A certificate for chilled/frozen beef, chilled/frozen beef products

EXPORTER T&C’S:

1.            For products derived from pig meat, exports can take place from establishments approved by the SFA, Singapore for export to Singapore (The SFA recognise all plants approved by DAFM to handle pig meat as eligible to export pig meat to Singapore)

The pig meat must be derived from pigs born & reared in Ireland.

2.            For products derived from poultry meat, exports can only take place from meat establishments specifically approved to export to Singapore (The SFA Singapore recognise all plants approved by DAFM to handle poultry meat as eligible to export poultry meat to Singapore). The meat must be derived from birds hatched and reared in either the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland and slaughtered in the Republic of Ireland.

TRADE:

In 2023 Ireland exported approximately 206 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.37 m

In 2022 Ireland exported approximately 244 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.49 m

In 2021 Ireland exported approximately 248 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.29 m

In 2020 Ireland exported approximately 800 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €1.69 m

In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 285 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.51 m

In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 445 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.44 m

 

PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Mainly frozen Pigmeat and frozen pig offal.

CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS: The certificate is for Frozen pork.

EXPORTER T&C’S:

  • Exports can take place from establishments approved by the SFA, Singapore for export to Singapore (The SFA recognise all plants approved by DAFM to handle Pigmeat as eligible to export Pigmeat to Singapore).
  • Pigmeat must be derived from pigs born & reared in Ireland.

 In 2022 Ireland exported approximately 443 tonnes of beef valued at €1.50 m

 In 2021 Ireland exported approximately 400 tonnes of beef valued at €1.77 m

 In 2020 Ireland exported approximately 381 tonnes of beef valued at €1.12 m

 In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 217 tonnes of beef valued at €0.74 m

 In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 313 tonnes of beef valued at €1.02 m

 

 PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Mainly frozen bovine offal.

CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS: The certificate is for frozen beef, beef offal’s and beef products.

EXPORTER T&C’S:

  • Chilled or frozen boneless beef and bone-in beef derived from cattle of all ages.
  • Chilled or frozen beef offal
  • Hermetically sealed heat-treated beef products heated to an F-value of not less than Fo
  • The animals from which the beef is derived must have been born and raised in Ireland.
  • The meat must be produced in one of the approved establishments. 
  • Establishments that wish to extend their approval to allow the export of processed beef products must also apply for additional categories.

In 2022 Ireland exported approximately 115 tonnes of Poultry meat valued at €0.51 m

In 2021 Ireland exported approximately 197 tonnes of Poultry meat valued at €0.21 m

In 2020 Ireland exported approximately 364 tonnes of Poultry meat valued at €1.26 m

In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 561 tonnes of Poultry meat valued at €1.95 m

In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 598 tonnes of Poultry meat valued at €1.80 m

 

PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Exclusively frozen poultry not cut in pieces.

CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS: The certificate is for frozen poultry meat.

EXPORTER T&C’S: 

  • Exports can only take place from meat establishments specifically approved to export to Singapore.
  • The meat was derived from birds hatched and reared in either the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland and slaughtered in the Republic of Ireland.

In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 26 tonnes of Sheep meat valued at €0.04 m

 

PRODUCTS EXPORTED: N/A

CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS:

The certificate is for fresh chilled/frozen Sheep meat.

  • No age restriction
  • The meat was derived from animals which were born and reared in the Republic of Ireland and/or Northern Ireland since birth.
