TRADE:

In 2023 Ireland exported approximately 8,432 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €15.45 m

In 2022 Ireland exported approximately 13,494 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €24.21 m

In 2021 Ireland exported approximately 8,309 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €14 m

In 2020 Ireland exported approximately 5,872 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €8.83 m

In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 6,112 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €7.66 m

In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 8,248 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €7.88 m

 

PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Mainly frozen Pigmeat and frozen pig offal

CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS: The certificate is for chilled/frozen Pigmeat, minced meat, meat preparations and meat products of porcine origin.

EXPORTER T&C’S: 

  • The meat must be derived from animals born and reared in Ireland.
  • Meat establishments must be on the list of meat establishments approved for export to the Philippines as notified by DAFM to the Filipino authorities.
  • Trader Notice Numbers MH 28/2014, MH 15/2015, MH 15/2021 refer.
  • DAFM & FBO re-accreditation was initially until August 2016. However, although we are awaiting formal re-accreditation from the Filipino authorities, trade can continue in the meantime.

In 2022 Ireland exported approximately 15,900 tonnes of beef valued at €50.48 m

In 2021 Ireland exported approximately 18,104 tonnes of beef valued at € 46.12 m.

In 2020 Ireland exported approximately 18,918 tonnes of beef valued at € 41.13 m.

In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 20,408 tonnes of beef valued at € 42.82 m.

In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 17,674 tonnes of beef valued at €31.69 m

 

PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Mainly frozen bone-in beef, frozen boneless beef, and frozen bovine offal.

In 2021 Ireland exported approximately 21 tonnes of Poultry meat valued at €0.02 m

In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 52 tonnes of Poultry meat valued at €0.07 m

In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 67 tonnes of Poultry meat valued at €0.09 m 

 

PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Mainly frozen poultry cuts and offal (other than liver).

CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS: We do not have a bilaterally agreed certificate for the export of Poultry meat to the Philippines.  That said, the Philippines seems to be one of the countries that accept exports of Poultry meat from Ireland based on the open poultry meat health certificate.

The export health certificate covers edible Poultry meat products.

EXPORTER T&C’S: The meat must satisfy the conditions set out in the open poultry meat health certificate and must be exported from a DAFM approved premises.

In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 1,167 tonnes of Sheep meat valued at €1.12 m

In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 124 tonnes of Sheep meat valued at €0.13 m

 

PRODUCTS EXPORTED: N/A

The certificate is for fresh chilled/frozen Sheep meat, minced meat, meat preparations and meat products of ovine origin.

EXPORTER T&C’S:

  • No age restriction
  • The meat was derived from animals which were born and reared in the Republic of Ireland and/or Northern Ireland since birth.
  • DAFM & FBO re-accreditation was initially until August 2016. However, although we are awaiting formal re-accreditation from the Filipino authorities, trade can continue in the meantime.
  • Exports can only take place from establishments specifically approved by DAFM for the export of Sheep meat to the Philippines and must have been notified to the Philippine authorities by DAFM beforehand.
