PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Frozen Mainly frozen bovine offal.

CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS: The certificate is for fresh/frozen bovine meat and offal.

EXPORTER T&C’S:

  • The meat must be derived from animals born and raised in Ireland.
  • The animals must be less than 72 months of age at the time of slaughter or have been subjected to an officially approved rapid test for BSE with negative result.
  • Exports can take place from all establishments approved by DAFM.

The certificate is for fresh Sheep meat/sheep offal.

EXPORTER T&C’S:

  • No age restriction
  • The meat/ offal covered by this health certificate is not derived from animals from holdings which are the subject of preventative measures (under restriction) by the veterinary services, on account of suspicion of using feedstuffs susceptible to dioxin contamination, such as that foreseen by public health warning. In accordance with surveillance plans, the level of dioxin does not exceed the international norms permitted.
  • Exports can take place from all establishments approved by DAFM.

In 2020 Ireland exported approximately 1 tonne of Pigmeat valued at €0.01 m.

In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 2 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.01 m.

 

Certification arrangements: We do not have a bilaterally agreed certificate for the export of Pigmeat to Tunisia. That said, Tunisia seems to be one of the countries that accept exports of Pigmeat from Ireland based on the general export health certificate.

The export health certificate covers edible pigmeat products.

 

EXPORTER T&C’S: The meat must satisfy the conditions set out in the general export health certificate and must be exported from a DAFM approved premises.
