Requirements

The animals must be properly identified, undergo a veterinary inspection, and be fit to travel.  The animals must also fulfil the criteria set out in the agreed health certificates New Australia July 2016 or New Australia Appendix B 2016 for exporting horses to Australia.  These include specific rules on the places of origin, history of the animals, specific tests and health status.

 

If you are considering exporting livestock/bloodstock (horses) to this market, you must fulfil certain animal health requirements that may include isolation, testing, vaccination and/or other specific sanitary conditions. 

 

You should make contact and agree arrangements with your local Regional Veterinary Office before you begin any preparations for export.
