TRADE:

In 2020-2024 no beef exports are recorded.

In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 25 tonnes of beef valued at €0.09 m.

In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 179 tonnes of beef valued at €0.44 m.

PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Frozen boneless beef and frozen bovine offal.

CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS: The certificate is for chilled and frozen carcase, boneless beef and meat products.

EXPORTER T&C’S:

• The meat must be from animals that are less than 48 months old at time of slaughter.
• All DAFM approved beef plants may export eligible beef to the State of Libya.
• While DAFM does not play a role in Halal certification, each consignment must be accompanied with a Halal Slaughtering Certificate issued by a Halal Certifying Body.
