In 2017 Ireland exported approximately 116,958 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €445.824 m.

In 2016 Ireland exported approximately 103,612 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €410.550 m.

PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Meat and Offal of Swine

CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS: Exports can take place on the basis of a commercial document issued by the Food Business Operator (FBO)

EXPORTER T&C’S: The products must be exported from plants that are approved by Ireland under the European Community’s Food and Feed hygiene legislation. These can either be plants approved by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) or else plants approved by Local authorities and/or the HSE.
